Are you thinking about living in Vancouver? You have good reason, like our clean air, plentiful water, mountains, waterways, great fishing, and even the ocean in less than a two-hour drive. If you like diversity, come join us! Vancouver is becoming a robust melting pot of people from every region. Add to this the investment into our parks, our stunning waterfront with new restaurants and it begs the question – what are you waiting for?
In 1974, Vancouver and Clark County was a small community and our major thoroughfares had only two lane roads, sweeping wheat fields, dogwood trees. You could view the most beautiful sunsets at night with no building obstructions. Kids could ride their bikes to Lacamas or Vancouver Lake from anywhere and not be concerned with traffic. Much has changed in Vancouver since that time. Lacamas Lake which once was a pristine and natural habitat is now surrounded by new developments, shopping and lodging. Like many small cities in Clark County, Vancouver and Camas are growing up.
Ridgefield is now one of the hottest cities in our area, and was reported on May 25th, 2018 as the fastest growing city in the state of Washington. Unfortunately, most of the available property has been developed and Clark County isn’t adding much in the way of municipal pipe and infrastructure in that area due to the exorbitant cost. Buyers must consider new options. La Center is a small community with only 5,000 residents and offers more lot size and house for the money…and it’s growing quickly too. Other small communities like Battle Ground, Washougal, Brush Prairie, Amboy and Woodland (half is in Clark County) are also seeing fast growth with Oregonians and Californians coming up with in masses.
C-Tran and public transportation provides connections to our sister city Portland and you can get around town fairly easily. Bike trails are plenty and the outdoor enthusiast has unlimited options for fun.
